Adrian Keating is the Director of the Sydney Lyric Orchestra, a name that came up in
conversation with Richard Bonynge when I was considering appropriate names
for a professional-standard orchestra.
Adrian was a career Principal 1st Violinist with Opera Australia for over 25 years.
In addition to his Classical profession he is an Electric Improvising Violinist with a
passion for Blues Soul & Funk, creating 3 Albums with Blues/Soul artist Geoff Achison,
& has appeared on live DVDs for Kevin Borich & Jimmy Barnes.
Adrian was artistic programmer for 'Music@ StreetMarket' 2017-2022,
& assistant liaison programing the Northside Performance Space in St Leonards.
Adrian has written over well over 40 hours of arrangements for clients & has the unusual privilege of leading sessions for over 10 'top10' Australian chart hits, starting with Savage Garden in 1997.
A career highlight is leading the Sydney Opera House Orchestra for the Sydney Festival in
Sir George Martin's last world tour appearance in Australia,
with Al Jarreau & Bernadette Peters in the same schedule.
